Traits that lead to Happiness

Monday Challenge – adding these traits into your life to up your   levels of happiness
Traits that lead to happiness:
1. Vulnerability – being vulnerable opens you to up to all new possibilities/opportunities. You become open to love by being your true self   and showing that part of you to others. Without vulnerability we cant truly be   happy. Vulnerability is not a sign of weakness, its a sign of strength.
2. Be open to learning – always learning, growing and developing  brings us happiness. It doesn’t matter if its from formal or non formal   learning environments. Every situation, experience and event in your life should be seen as a teachable moment. Change your perspective on any negative   event, situation and experience to a “teachable moment” then take what you have learned to make the changes needed to be happy.
3. Bravery – taking chances, stepping outside your comfort zone, accepting change and doing things that scare us lead to happiness. The most   successful people take daily risks (remember success is how you define   it).  Being brave means entering into a new friendship or relationship even though you have been hurt, starting a new business even if your other business failed, etc.
4. Gratitude – do a daily gratitude check which is just a reminder of all you have. I start and end my day with a moment of gratitude   but add it in how you like just be grateful.
5. Forgiveness – we cant be happy if we are holding on to our  past grudges. They will become part of our personality. You forgive yourself   and/or others so you can move forward and live a happy life. There are so many   physical consequences of holding onto to anger such as: IBS, Chronic fatigue   syndrome, Jaw pain, frequent headaches, lowering your immune system, etc.
Forgiveness involves empathy and compassion. Take the time to forgive, it can change your whole life.
6. Honesty – we know how important this is for relationships BUT being honest to yourself is always the hardest. Be your authentic self it will lead you to a path of your true purpose and happiness.
7. Patience – being patient allows you to relax, be in the flow of life, accept where you are at this moment and let go of instant gratification.
* Just a reminder do the simple things everyday like give a compliment, accept a compliment with a simple thank you, give a hug, a smile,   etc
Use money for what brings happiness – buy experiences!
Try to add these traits into your life. If they don’t come  naturally, don’t worry. They are learned   traits.  So, its all up to you.
