My Goals For The New Year:
By: Diane Lang
We always go for the same resolutions each year: lose weight, make more money, move up for the corporate ladder, quit smoking, eat better, etc. These are all great resolutions but what about making this year different. Lets make our goals intrinsic, internal goals that bring internal joy not happiness that depends on the outcome. These are goals that bring us personal joy and make us better people. This year lets work on the real you, the inner you and see how it effects everything around you positively.
My goals for the New Year
To be a better person then I was yesterday
To be the person I know I can be and reach my full potential ( keyword being “My”)
To stop comparing myself to others ( no win battle)
To let go of perfectionism traits that I have held onto for many years
and instead go with the flow and learn to enjoy each moment.
To be my true self and know that who I’ am is always enough
To be a little bit kinder
To slow down and be more mindful
To be more respectful of others including myself
To be more trustworthy and trusting of others, showing my vulnerable side
To be more loving by showing it more and learning to receive love freely
To learn to ask for help and not think of it as a weakness
These are my personal goals. Take some time this week to write out your intentions for the New Year.
2016 will be the best year yet!
Happy New Year!
