An Honest Letter To Why I Write This Newsletter:

I often get asked why I write this newsletter and where the topics come from. The truth is I write this newsletter and teach emotional wellness workshops because my life has sucked more times that I care to admit and even though I have worked through most of my emotional baggage and have done a lot of self-improvement work, I still find myself on occasion feeling like I’m not worthy and I’m stuck.
It’s normal to feel this way. These feelings can last days, weeks or even months. We can’t have a stress free life and not every day will be great and yes,our past will come back to haunt us every so often. We are like onions with many layers and even when you feel you have done the work and moved on something will trigger a shitty day and another layer of the onion has to be peeled off and more work needs to be done.

I don’t expect to reach the top peak. That would be perfection and I don’t strive for perfect. I’m striving to reach my best life. The keyword is “My” best life not what others want or what society expects but my definition of a best life.

*What does your best life look like? Make sure its realistic and your not striving for perfection which is setting yourself up for failure.*

I also realize that my life is a journey filled with ups and downs. The good part is the the downs will be balanced with the ups. So, when your feeling down remember it will go back up again. When you’re up, remember to appreciate and savor the moment because you will have down times again.
What is important is what you do during the down times. Will you use the down times to be productive, creative, to take a long needed rest, learn more about yourself, try something new or will you spend it down in the dumps feeling bad for yourself? The choice is yours!
Don’t get me wrong, spending a few days ( and only a few days) in self pity is OK and sometimes needed but its also a time for learning and growth. Take those few days to rest, relax and re-evaluate your life so can you heal and move forward. This is resiliency and resiliency is available for everyone.

My newsletter and workshops come from a place of authenticity. My writings and teachings all come from my own life. Whether its something I have gone through or currently working through. We are all human and have bad and good days but I truly believe that you can cultivate your best life and I continue to do so on a daily basis….. Let’s cultivate your best life!
