What we can add into our life on a daily basis that changes the negative to the positive?

We can add in a daily diet of positive emotions. Positive emotions can help us to live up to 7 years longer and healthier. Below are some positive emotions to add into your life along with some happiness exercises.

Both will help you to create the life you want.

Inspiration – find something each day that brings you inspiration whether it’s a quick you tube video, Ted talk, song, Poem or positive quote. Start your day with your daily dose of inspiration or just through the day sprinkle a dose of inspiration as needed. I remember my clients getting a PRN as needed which is a dose of meds as needed if they were acting out, behavior issues, anxiety etc.
I love the idea of a Inspirational PRN- when your energy is low and your feeling a lack of hope go to your inspirational back up video, song, quote, etc.

Gratitude- Write or say 2-3 things your grateful for or send a note of gratitude to someone you love

Kindness- What random act of kindness can you do today for a stranger and/or a friend/family member? I always think, what if we all did one random act of kindness a day how would that change the world? All we need is to do one small act like a compliment, a smile, word of kindness, etc.

Mindfulness and moments of silence- Take a few minutes each day to sit in nature, deep breathe, take a walk, etc.

Positive affirmations and it’s written counterpart- a daily reminder of what you want to believe and currently working on. What would be a great positive affirmation for you? Mine is “I’m Healthy and whole”

What I did well today? Write or say 2 -3 things you did well today.

Daily intention for the day and a visual to match – what would that intention look and feel like? I say my intention out loud and then visualize it.

Smile, laugh, a showing of love like a hug, cuddle, warm touch, etc. – produce those endorphins.
