The Challenge of Mondays – Learning to like Mondays
Monday is the most hated day of the week. Some people actually dread Mondays. What if we turned it around and changed our perspective on Mondays? It is just a view/choice that Mondays suck! I choose not to participate in this thought process. I actually love Mondays. If we start off on Monday in good spirits the rest of the week will follow suit! Start the week off right!
Here are six reasons why Mondays rock!
1. Mondays always feel like a fresh start. A day to make changes, start new things. Mondays bring hope and possibilities. Look at Mondays as a day full of opportunities with more to come during the week.
2. Monday is a day of productivity. After a fun and relaxing weekend, I find it refreshing to start Mondays by doing something productive and creative. We are refreshed and refueled after the weekend and can do our best work. It feels good to take the mini-break(weekend) and then come back to work and be productive and creative.
3. A day to make a difference. I look at Mondays as a day of random Acts of Kindness. Use this day to help others and in return we feel good. So, Mondays become a win-win for everyone. Make Mondays your pay it forward day! We can spread positivity on Mondays and watch the kindness craze spread throughout the week.
4. Monday is a challenge day – its the day we start new habits/lifestyles like dieting, working out, new job or we end bad habits such as smoking, biting nails, quitting caffeine or sugar. It is the day we break bad habits and start great new ones.
5. Mondays come with a routine and schedule. This makes us feel a sense of structure and normalcy. We work our bests and things go smoother when we have schedules and routines. This is also true for kids.
6. Mondays are a great shopping and errand day. Stores, banks, post offices, etc are all slow so you can get everything done quicker and easier.
Turn your Mondays around to be your favorite day!!
